The Cabin at Loch Lubnaig Online Booking

Loch Lubnaig is a small but stunningly located stretch of freshwater nestling between two striking mountains, Ben Ledi and Benvane to the south-west and Ben Vorlich to the north-east. ‘Lùbnaig’ comes from the Gaelic for elbow, a name that the loch acquired due to its unique shape. The Cabin is located on the shores of Loch Lubnaig between Callander and Strathyre on the A84.

What you need to know

  • The campsite is open from 1st March 2019 to 30th September 2019
  • There are 9 pitches for tents, and 2 spots for motorhomes to stop off overnight.
  • Payment is required at the time of the Booking
  • Stays are limited to a maximum of 3 nights
  • There is no electric hookup for motorhomes but there are facilities for disposal of chemical waste. Chemical waste disposal is £2 per use
  • No camp fires, fire bowls or similar open fires are allowed on the site
  • Facilities available include toilets, hot and cold water and food preparation/washing up area (shower facilities are available at McLaren Leisure Centre in nearby Callander.)
  • Pitches are available from 3pm (you must check-in before 6:30pm during the summer season of 1st April to 30th August and by 4.30 outside this period.

Getting there

  • From Callander: follow the A84 north through Kilmahog for 5 miles.The Cabin is located in the second car park.
  • From Strathyre: follow the A84 south.
  • Satnav: FK17 8HF (Location is approximate, please remain on the east side of the Loch, the site is visible from A84 and clearly sign posted).
